Weekly Photo Challenge: Layers

Layers. Layers can reveal, conceal, and make something more complex. They can vary in size, texture, color, or functionality. Each layer can have its own story, meaning, or purpose. They can overlap, blend, or be distinctly separate. A layer doesn’t have to be a part of a single object but can even be a slice of a multifaceted image or scene.(dailypost.wordpress.com)

To me it is like life in the pond.

Life in the pondIt is also like the layers of the mountain range and ocean waves blanketed by the fog. “What lies beyond” I wonder? I want to go!

ocean layers of fogI took this photo this summer on my way to Washington. Even though it was a foggy day, you could still see the layers of the mountain range along with the ocean waves.

  5. Both photos are gorgeous, but I agree the second one shows obvious layers and more depth / layers are immediately obvious. N.I.C.E. 😉
